In addition to needing adequate supplies of proteins, carbohydrates, fats and oils, new research is bringing to light the vital role of other important substances. Many of these nutrients can play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing human health. These nutrients can range from unique forms of amino acids to hormones and other compounds not easily categorized in more traditional forms (ie. amino acids, vitamins, minerals, etc.).
